    Due to this growth, we are now recruiting for a Technical Services Engineer to join our Technical Team in our office in Sofia, Bulgaria. This is a fantastic opportunity to kick start your career if you are customer-focused with a technical background and a drive to succeed!

    Through the role you will be given full training on all products as well as professional training on the underlying technologies used, thereby providing exposure to the latest technologies. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will have a mentor to guide your development within our technical team enabling you to exceed your own potential and fulfil your personal career goals.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Helping our customers achieve their goals by using our solutions to their full potential
    • Providing in-depth technical support for technologies related to our products (SQL, .NET, IIS, etc.)
    • Logging and keeping records of customer queries
    • Installing and configuring our solution remotely or on client side
    • Define configuration specifications based on clients’ requirements
    • Customize our solutions, so they can best fit clients’ needs
    • Train and support our customers on how to work and administrate our solutions to the best of their advantage
    • Take ownership over issues, proactive tasks and projects from start to finish
    • Resolve cases using knowledge gained through product training, support documentation and personal experience/knowledge
    • Prioritising and managing many open cases at one time.

    To be considered for this position, you must have:

    Essential

    • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows and the differences between operating systems
    • Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution
    • Excellent written communication/technical authoring skills
    • Excellent verbal communication skills (including the ability to interact with customers face-to-face)
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical people
    • Ability to prioritise your workload
    • Attention to detail
    • A willingness to learn new technologies and skills
    • Motivation to meet team goals and objectives
    • Excellent verbal and written English language

    Desirable

    • An industry related degree or equivalent
    • An understanding of Microsoft Internet Information Services
    • An understanding of network architecture
    • Good understanding of relational database management systems (e.g. SQL)
    • Managing websites through Microsoft Internet Information Services
    • Microsoft Active Directory
    • Troubleshooting network connectivity issues

Senior Software Development Engineer (Back End)

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Working as part of an Agile development team operating within the Scrum framework you will be involved across the Software Development Lifecycle ensuring that our products are delivered to a published roadmap within planned release cycles. You will contribute towards the defining and developing a Sprint backlog to achieve the goals set out by our Product team whilst providing our Test team with continuous delivery to ensure that our applications achieve our definition of done and can be potential released within our continuous deployment cycle every Sprint.

    You will be actively encouraged to push the boundaries of new technology to ensure that we choose the most appropriate solutions for delivering our software to enable you to progress to meet your own potential whilst also giving more junior members of the development team the support they need to help them to fulfil their personal development goals.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES

    • Implementing new features across the Ideagen Products using .NET Technologies.
    • Working closely with our Principle Developers to build well architected solutions.
    • Working with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Design Engineers, Development Engineers (Front End), Test Engineers, and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure features are delivered to a high standard.
    • Providing unit tests to support and validate for any development work undertaken
    • Contributing to the Development Team’s working practices and technology decisions.
    • Mentoring and coaching other members of your team to help grow their skillsets.

    RELATIONSHIPS
    Reports to the Development Manager

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline; or equivalent demonstrable experience.

    SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/REQUIREMENTS

    • At least 5 years’ experience of developing rich web applications using .NET Technologies, C# and JavaScript
    • Expert-level C#, including experience with the latest .NET Framework
    • A proven ability to deliver technical features within an enterprise application
    • Knowledge of key architecture patterns and design patterns
    • Experience using Source Control, preferably Git
    • Experience of working in an Agile development team
    • An understanding of the build process, continuous integration and delivery
    • Experience in writing unit tests
    • Good knowledge of English is a must
